Google Chrome 8 will allow password synchronization

Since Google has access browser´s world, has not stop improving each new version of Chrome, making significant changes. This is the case of version 8; in the Canary Build of the browser we can see what will soon be available for everyone, password synchronization.

Thanks to this new functionality we will be able to have our different accounts on different services synchronized with passwords. This is another innovation Chrome has implemented besides markers synchronizing and its multiple extensions and plug-ins.

Password Synchronization, already available in the developer Google Chrome´s version, comes disabled by default on your browser. Activate it is very simple, go to the options and you will see “Personal Things” section, where you can enable, by entering your Google´s account information, and password synchronization in Chrome 8.

A few weeks ago a new version of Windows Live Messenger has been release, showing lot of improvements in comparison with older versions. Perhaps the most important feature is the integration that Windows Live Messenger 2011 has with Facebook; this was anticipated earlier.

Now, from a unique interface we can access all the contacts we have in both social networks. Google surprises everyone by announcing updates every 6 weeks

After the European League forced Microsoft to offer its users different browsers to choose from in March 2010, the war got hot. Within this framework, Google has announced that Chrome will offer a stable updated version every 6 weeks.

Surprising as it may seem, the news implies a change that had already been adopted by Mozilla somehow, although its proposal had not been as bold. Google wants Chrome’s periodic safety updates to be more than just that and to include functions.

According to Google’s director, this change in Chrome’s release dates implies a change in the internal flow of work. Even so, it has been guaranteed that Google Chrome’s updates with new functions are the ideal, and they will be achieved as long as there are not important failures that divert attention from the project of improvements.

The change in Google Chrome’s release scheme will surely benefit the users, who won’t even have to bother since the updates will be automatic. On the other hand, this move will definitely make Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox or Opera to come into play.

Now we can chat with our Facebook contacts in Windows Live Messenger

Rumor had it that Windows Live Messenger 2010 version would be more integrated with other social networks, and it has been confirmed by Beta versions recently made available. The news is that now we’ll be able to use the application to chat with our Facebook contacts, which satisfies many users’ needs.

Whether we log in from the website or the application, with the new version we can use Windows Live Messenger as a Facebook client. Another characteristic is that if we have duplicated contacts in both accounts, they will be listed only once, so we will be able to choose through which protocol we want to contact him/her.

Thus, Microsoft, which plans on making the service available by the end of this year, takes action as regards the users’ requests for a greater integration between social networks.

Windows Live Essentials 2011 arrived with a strong foothold: what are waiting to download it?

Hotmail users may be the first ones to experience the new features Microsoft is releasing through Windows Live Essentials 2011 suite. In fact, many of them have already found, when accessing their accounts, Hotmail’s “new features”, which are basically related to being able to integrate to Microsoft’s free applications. However, there are other changes that affect all the programs, like Movie Maker, Photo Gallery, Writer, Messenger and Live Mail.

Among the main changes in Wave 4 we can mention the Ribbon bar that was added to all the products. It had already been included in Office’s latest versions, but its inclusion to Windows Live Essentials will be highly appreciated by Writer’s or Movie Maker’s users.

As regards Live Mail, Microsoft has made a great effort to simplify the process of sending photos. Now they can be shared through SkyDrive and the e-mail content becomes just a preview of the multimedia content. In this way, the task is much easier and we don’t need to attach the document, which takes up space.

In addition, the new Windows Live Messenger will be able to integrate with other social networks, like LinkedIn or Facebook, directly.

Other new features can be found in Photo Gallery. Windows Live Essentials’s new version provides useful tools like the face recognition tool, which will enable us to tag photos automatically, as well as Photo Fuse, which can fuse similar photos by taking what we like most of each of them.

Internet Explorer 9’s preview is already available for download

Microsoft has finally released Internet Explorer 9’s preview and it is already available for download. This preview of the platform is mainly intended for web developers and designers to test the most popular browser in the world up to now.

With this preview of the new version, Microsoft wants to re-position its browser in the increasingly competitive market. After losing users worldwide, Internet Explorer 9 seeks to regain them with its new functionalities.

Internet Explorer 9’s preview is just an engine of the browser. It does not include the user interface nor the security options.
