As we’ve known for quite some time, Microsoft was seriously interested in extending its Bing navigator and Windows Live Messenger for Apple’s portable devices (for iPod as well as for iPhone). The interesting news for the users of these devices and for those who prefer Microsoft’s search engine over Google’s, is that it was moved forward the launch of at least one of these applications and now it is possible to use Bing on Apple mobiles.

Apparently, Google, the most important internet search engine, not only leads the market in that field, but also in the development of applications. This can be seen in the continuous avant-garde tools that introduces daily. This time around, and added to its new feature called “Historic Images”, which allows you to see almost any spot on Earth and “go back in time” to be witness of their evolution, now it’s possible to superimpose to Google Earth certain antique maps to go back in time even further.

For those –unhappy- users regarding Windows Vista, who actually rolled back to Windows XP due to performance issues and system crashes, Microsoft, the world leading company in operative systems, states that Windows 7 is the best Windows ever and this way, Microsoft is hoping its new system will perform as promised and avoid a repeat of the negative publicity associated with Windows Vista.
