Choose one of the most popular options when editing videos

Choosing a video editor program that gathers all the necessary tools to create media contents with surprisingly professional results can be a difficult task. Among some of the most popular alternatives, and of which we’ll do a brief comparative analysis, we can find: SONY Vegas Pro, Windows Movie Maker, VirtualDub and SuperDVD Video Editor.

The most used video editor by those who are first starting on the audiovisual editing is Windows Movie Maker. Although this program is generally the most used for its simplicity, thanks to its more than intuitive interface, in which you only need to drag and insert the media files that will be used (images, videos, music, etc.), it is true that it’s not one of the most complete and powerful programs to edit videos compared to others like: SONY Vegas Pro or SuperDVD Video Editor.

With Windows Movie Maker it only takes a few minutes to get an excellent editing, even more if we make use of its more than 60 types of transitions and almost 30 video effects. But this isn’t enough in contrast to the power and versatility of other programs like SONY Vegas Pro. The software of the Japan brand SONY, is nowadays one of the most used by those who spend their professional lives to video editing, though because of its flexibility it does not exclude those who are just starting on this subject.

Using its more tan 300 video effects and transitions, a powerful video and audio editor engine on a single platform, the possibility to edit and create subtitles on screens, 5.1 surround support, and an endless list of functions and tools, SONY Vegas Pro guarantees professional results for any type of user.

Around the corner, but near Windows Movie Maker, we can find VirtualDub and SuperDVD Video Editor. The first one, ideal to capture video using an external device, modify not very extensive video clips, perform resolution changes, among other functions that have more to do with the processing than with the editing in itself; results really flexible, although not very intuitive compared to SuperDVD Video Editor.

Beyond that, we must recognize VirtualDub the excellent possibility that its task list provides, as it’s able to run different processes with the need to stay in front of the computer. Similar properties has SuperDVD Video Editor, to which adds a very interactive interface, its strongest point, the possibility to burn DVDs with titles menu included without closing the program.

The most important thing they have in common (except VirtualDub) SONY Vegas Pro, as Windows Movie Maker and SuperDVD Video Editor, is that they allow a simple and quick editing with just cutting, putting on top and pasting video clips on the interface field destined to do that.

Being one or the other, any of these video editors can be perfectly adjustable to the user’s needs. The only thing left is to go deep on any of them to know, once and for all, if we keep SONY Vegas Pro, Windows Movie Maker, VirtualDub or SuperDVD Video Editor.
