Babylon - Instant translations
When we are in need of translating some text to another language, we often turn to online translators, but most of them are not as accurate as we wish. Moreover, correcting or trying to guess the translated text results in a tedious task. Babylon on the other hand, is one of the quickest and most accurate translation tools.
Babylon offers instant full text, full Website and document translation in 75 languages. With just a few clicks, you can convert texts quickly and easily. Apart from document files and websites, Babylon can also translate PDF files and emails and features unit conversions and currencies, measurements and time converters.
All you have to do is click on the word or text that you want to translate and a small window instantly appears with the desired results from Babylon’s extensive database of language dictionaries, glossaries and conversion tools. It offers its users a wide range of titles from the world’s premier publishing houses including Oxford University Press, Britannica, Merriam-Webster, Larousse, Vox, Langenscheidt, Pons, and Taishukan. Babylon integrates into Windows´ taskbar for single-click translations.
Once you installed Babylon, the application will launch automatically after the installation process is finished and a small and handy tutorial will be displayed for any user to start translating texts easily. The three steps consist of:
1 – Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard
2 – Select the term or phrase you want to translate and then right-Click
3 – After you´re doing with the selection release the right-click
That was for terms of phrases, but we can also translate full texts. To do so, click on the left icon (Translate) and then click “Text Translator” on the bottom left of the window.
